Feeney, a leader in cable railing systems, is a featured partner in House Beautiful’s seventh annual Whole Home Project, which this year introduces its first-ever vacation home—a striking 3,600-square-foot retreat nestled in Asheville, North Carolina’s Blue Ridge Mountains. Designed to elevate the outdoor experience, House Beautiful selected Feeney’s DesignRail® Modern railings for the home’s three sprawling patios. The system’s clean lines and innovative engineering provide unobstructed mountain views while integrating seamlessly into the home’s modern aesthetic.
In addition to the outdoor spaces, Feeney’s DesignRail® Modern was chosen for the home’s interior staircase, bringing its signature clean lines indoors. The railing’s minimalist design complements the home’s modern style, providing a streamlined look that enhances rather than distracts from the overall interior design. By allowing the architectural elements and decor to remain the focal point, DesignRail® Modern contributes to an open, cohesive feel throughout the home.

Coated with AAMA-2604 powder finishes, the railings are designed to withstand the elements while maintaining their streamlined look. By eliminating a bottom rail and supporting spans up to 8 feet, the system minimizes the need for additional posts, creating an open, expansive feel. An optional Drink Rail adapter adds a functional ledge for beverages, making DesignRail® Modern a practical and stylish choice for any setting, indoors or out.
Although completed and photographed prior to Hurricane Helene, access to the Whole Home has been restricted as the community recovers.
