Lake Fowler Revitalization
Project

The City of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin undertook a major revitalization of its waterfront area, aiming to transform the lakeshore and pier into a vibrant, accessible public space. A key element of the project involved upgrading the outdated railing system, which had suffered from corrosion, mismatched materials, and frequent maintenance issues. 

The stainless steel cables, of Feeney’s CableRail, offered corrosion resistance and uninterrupted lake views, while the powder-coated aluminum DesignRail® reduced long-term maintenance needs. Custom colors and an elliptical top rail style helped address aesthetic goals and functional concerns. The final result has not only enhanced the beauty and safety of the boardwalk but has also increased pedestrian traffic, turning the area into a growing hub for community activity and local business.
